Exciting new features with the ActivPanel 9 2.4 release
We’ve upgraded your ActivPanel 9, giving you even more tools and resources to optimize your lessons. Here’s what you can expect.
Use the Flame button to open Promethean ActivSuite™
The flame button on your remote and center console can now open Promethean ActivSuite when pressed. This allows you to easily pull up the teaching tools you love most. Add a dash of excitement with Timer, create randomized fun with Spinner, or even get students active in the lesson with Screen Share. All of these tools are readily available at the click of a button!
Note: Ensure you are using Promethean ActivSuite 1.2 or later to use this feature. If you do not have Promethean ActivSuite installed, please reach out to your IT or admin team for licensing.
Explain Everything Upgrades
Explain Everything on your ActivPanel 9 also received several incredible upgrades, including:
- Stylus pressure sensitivity: When using a stylus like the ActivPen, the weight of the line changes depending on the pressure you use while writing. This means if you want bolder thickness, simply apply more pressure with the stylus. Want a more consistent line? Simply toggle off the feature in Explain Everything’s settings.
- *New* Compass Tool: A new compass tool is available in the suite of math tools. Now, you can draw picture-perfect circles and arcs to help illustrate equations.
- Additional Math Tool enhancements: You can now toggle between imperial and metric measurements, with the default automatically set to your region’s configuration. The Triangle Tool is also improved with additional markings, turning it into a fully functional set square.
- Selective slide exporting: You can now zoom in and only export the visible portion of the slide, saving you from needing to use an additional tool to crop the image or PDF.
